Arrival & departure
Check-in from 15:00 – automated with a personal pin code for your apartment door, so you can arrive whenever it suits you. Check-out by 11:00. On departure we kindly ask you to empty the fridge, start the dishwasher, close all windows, empty the garbage in the designated bins outside, and lock the door. This is also included in the check-in SMS/email.
Parking & EV charging
Free parking right outside your apartment. Please drive slowly (max 15 km/h) within the property. Six Zaptec EV chargers are available – charging and payment via the QR code on the charger or the Laddel app. Charging price varies over the day with the fluctuating electricity prices.
Wi-Fi
All apartments have free Wi-Fi. Your network name and password are provided in the apartment information folder.
Rowboat, SUP & games
A rowboat and six stand-up-paddle boards are free for guests – life jackets are in the storage room at apartment 6A (marked "Storage"). You will also find kubb, giant Jenga and boccia there. Please wear a life jacket on the water and stay close to the shore.
Barbeque
Several charcoal BBQs are available at the picnic areas along the fjord. Charcoal can be bought at grocery stores and gas stations in Jørpeland. For everyone's safety, BBQ only at the picnic areas – not on patios, terraces or balconies – only in low wind conditions, and at least 10 m from the buildings.
Beach & sea pool
Our small private beach is reached by the stairs at the end of cabin 13. The 40 m sea pool is a relatively sheltered area for children to swim and paddle – always under adult supervision. Before jumping/diving into the sea, always check that the depth seems safe. Watch after children playing near the sea.
Pets
We accept pets/dogs, but please note that we have a pet fee of 500 NOK. We also have some common pet requirements that we trust you will follow: housetrained, obedient, well-socialized, little barking towards people and other dogs, and not allowed onto furniture and beds etc.
Quiet hours
Between 22:00 and 08:00 we ask all guests to keep voice and sound levels to a minimum out of consideration for other guests and our neighbours. You are welcome to enjoy the terraces and picnic areas – just keep it calm.
Recycling for charity
Deposit-marked bottles and cans can be left in the bins marked "PANT" at apartments 6 and 11. We return them and donate the money to Strand & Forsand Turlag (who maintain the hiking trails) and Norsk Folkehjelp (the volunteer mountain rescue).
Safety
All apartments have smoke detectors and a fire extinguisher. An AED (defibrillator) is mounted on the wall at apartment 6A.
Emergency numbers in Norway: fire 110, police 112, ambulance 113.
Life buoys are placed along the sea front. Guests should always use a life jacket when going outside the harbour area with a paddle board or in a boat. Please consider the wind and waves before going out, and consider going against the wind and waves from the start since this makes it easier to come back. Don't go far from the shoreline unless conditions are very good. Before jumping/diving into the sea, always check that the depth seems safe. Watch after children playing near the sea.
